Omg, I just came to realise that presenting a realistic scrilling website prototype for a client or developer is so much extra work.
Right now you need to reset the height of the frame then set clipping (because this is just not how you are working while designing).
Please Figma Team add viewport height and scroll option like in XD to make this a lot easier for huge UI prototypes with a lot of content and going back and forth right now…
I can’t understand how isn’t this a highly voted request.
No other ex-XD users in Figma Community?
Hey @Dolphin_Ganz, thanks for the feedback!
I’m sure other XD users in the community may benefit from this capability. We’ll pass this onto our prototyping team for future consideration.

I’ve been using Figma for a few years, and the #1 I have always missed from XD was the ability to define the viewport height for presentation/prototype mode separately from the height of the canvas.
The current approach where the canvas height must match the desired viewport height requires a lot of messy approaches to maintain a UI in a way that’s accessible to dev but also works for prototyping–all of which would be resolved by divorcing canvas height from presentation height.
