I imported a file from Sketch and the missing font dialog (and sidebar alert) doesn’t appear.
The fonts are transparent and I have to select them manually to replace them (for the installed font which is the same that I used on Sketch ). When I select it shows the yellow marker that the font is missing but only in the font selection thing, but not for the whole document.
Hey @CamilaB, thank you for reaching out!
At the moment I’m afraid there isn’t a workaround to bulk-resolve missing fonts if the indicator isn’t available in the toolbar. Could you let me know if this is happening in the desktop app, the browser or both?
Can you try clearing out the cache. You can find more information in our Help Center article on how to clear desktop app cache
https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040528973-My-files-are-not-opening#id.
Also please try to force-quit and open Figma in a new browser window (or force-quit the Figma Desktop app and restart it.)
Please let me know if clearing the cache resolved the issue, happy to get you connected with our support team.
It’s on the Mac app. I cleared the cache and it didn’t work, other files are still showing it, it’s one specific file that wasn’t. But I solved it by using a plugin to find missing fonts (I had to do it page by page, which is more work than using Figma’s native feature).
Same issue i trie to restore an older file for a customer with 73 pages and multiple textfields aren’t visible nor can the selected as they are transparent. I would have to go one by one trough all screes look for invisible layers to get to the missing font icon and replace them. which would take hours to fix.
