I’ve been dragging and dropping images from my desktop to my Figma artboards. Since then I’ve deleted the images from my desktop and have opened my Figma file with missing images?

If I delete an image from my desktop, does it delete it from the Figma file too?

No, Figma stores everything on their own servers, the images are not connected to your computer in any way.
