How do I make a calendar component actually select a date?

Hi, I want to add a calendar to a scheduling app that I am designing. I found a calendar component in the community section. But when I go to click on a day in the calendar, nothing happens. Is there a way for me to make the calendar be interactive and actually be responsive to clicking a day? How would the day that is put in be recorded - essentially where would the information go?

Also, I want to somehow include a time component but I cannot figure that part out.

Thank you for any information.

All of this will need to be implemented in the app itself via code, not in the prototype made in Figma. Figma is a design tool, not the development tool.
