Dev-mode file stuck on infinite loop

Occasionally, when devs send me a Figma Dev-Mode link, the file is stuck in an infitinite loading loop. In order to fix this, I have to restart Figma, sometimes multiple times.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Could you tell us if this is happening on the desktop app, in the browser, or both? If you haven’t done so already, you might want to try clearing your app and browser cache to see if that resolves the issue.
Here are a few steps you could take:

  1. Ensure your computer is updated to the latest OS and give it a restart.
  2. Try clearing your app and browser cache. You can refer to this guide for clearing the Figma desktop app cache: Clear the Figma desktop app cache

When contacting our support team, it would be helpful if you could provide the following:

  1. Use your Figma account email address.
  2. A brief video recording showing the problem - seeing the entire window would be super helpful!
  3. Share the direct link of the file with the issue and please add support-share@figma.com as an Editor to those files (this won’t impact your billing).
  4. Let our support team know what troubleshooting steps you’ve already tried.
