When I try to copy and paste a frame, Figma only copies and pastes the text in the frame.
When I try to copy and paste an image, an icon etc. It simply doesn’t paste anything.
The copy & paste function was working perfectly and all of a sudden it stopped working.

You had another topic that mentioned an iOS device. Is this the only place you’re having this issue?
Hey, yes, I only have this issue on my IPad Pro. I use Figma on browser on IPad, but I can’t copy & paste after the last update.
I think it is about IOS devices paste permits, but I can’t find any setting about permits to fix this problem.
Got it - I can’t speak to why it isn’t working anymore, but I do know that Figma on Mobile is not fully supported at this time. I do see you have a ticket filed with support, so the team should be able to provide you additional info.
Hey, I have a similar problem on a desktop - the copy paste creates a huge mess, when I try to paste into a different frame or a file. Seems like the layers order gets messed up as well as destinations between the components. Any ideas what can be done?
@Natalie_Yackoby Could you drop a screen recording of what happens when you copy + paste in both frames and files?
Also, is this happening when using both shortcuts AND right-click to copy + paste? You mentioned you’re on desktop, but just to make sure: are you using the desktop app, or the web version of Figma? Can you let me know if it’s happening on both?

I’m facing the same issue. Tried to take a frame (it has its own auto layout sets, instances, components etc) from one of a free community template -and tried to put it on one of my other Figma files, and all it would do is copy paste the text in the frame, and not the actual design. It’s kind of really urgent - and I would really appreciate if someone could give me a solution for this.

I cannot grab a simple image/rectangle/etc, copy and paste it. Nothing happens.

Is this happening on the desktop app, Figma on the web, or both?
If on the app, can you try uninstalling/reinstalling the app to see if it clears up?
if it’s only on the website, can you clear cache/cookies for Figma specifically, restart your computer, and try again?

Well, it happened on the web. Cleaning cache alone didn’t do the trick, but restarting the computer did. Since then everything has worked like a charm, as it normally does.
