Question

Connection nodes only to pages

Hi all!
So I know this should be an easy one, but I’m completely stuck: when prototyping, connection nodes link only from components/frames to pages, and not the other way around.
Hope the screenshots help clarifying: I’d like the “work” on the navbar to bring me back to the “work section” (on the homepage) but instead it only allows a connection to the whole page. All the elements mentioned above are either components or frames. Same happens everywhere else: unable to link from outside > to a specific place inside the main page/frame.

It’s the first time I see this happening, but since I’m not a Figma regular I can’t work my way around. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for your contribution!

Hello I don’t have much experience using Figma but here some ideas.

I think I remember somewhere you could save the scroll position you were last time. Try with it

when you connect a frame with another, open the properties and use the checkbox

Hi David, thanks! It was checked already, but I guess my issue comes before that step: I can’t link anything to an element that’s on a different page.
So for instance: I’m on a project page, I want to connect the “work” component on the navbar to the “work section” (which is a frame) on my homepage, so that from the single project I can go back to discover other works. For some reasons it allows me to connect the “work” component only to the whole homepage, instead of the specific section/frame within it.

I see, maybe you can try making the home page more than once and for every section. That way you could connect it to exactly in the position/section you want
