Hello there! When try to open the application in macos , I couldn’t able to open it.

" Move to Applications Folder

Please move the Figma app into the Applications folder and try again.

If the app is already in the Applications folder, drag it into some other folder and then back into Applications."

How to resolve it ?

Hey @Gokuladharshini ,

Please try these workarounds and let me know if this helps:

  • As a first step, please completely delete anything Figma related in your applications, downloads, desktop folders etc. You can just drag all of them to the trash bin and then empty trash.

  • Then, clear the cache by following these steps:

Use the terminal on Mac to clear the desktop app cache.

  1. Force quit the Figma desktop app.

  2. Open the Terminal app.

  3. Enter the following command:

$HOME/Library/Application Support/Figma;

  • Then, do a full restart of your computer.

  • Next, please download a fresh copy of our desktop app from our downloads page (figma.com/downloads) into your downloads folder, double click it to unzip, then drag the Figma app tile into applications.

I hope this helps!

Hi @Celine_Figma , my Figma application is not working when I deployed it from Intune tool (MDM) , whether we need any additional files if i want to deploy it through any tools. But it is working when it is manually downloaded it from the website?

Hey @Gokuladharshini , sorry to hear this is also happening. I’d recommend you to reach out directly to the Intune tool (MDM) support , the issue may come from the configuration. Thanks!

Could you kindly confirm whether this issue is currently present in Figma, as I have been directed here by the Microsoft Support Team?

I checked internally, we are not aware of this issue. Do you see any error message? (if so, please share here) Can you confirm if you are in an Enterprise plan, and do you try to deploy Figma from MSI installer?

The internal team recommend to have a look at these documentation that might be helpful to you. This is only available for Enterprise plan. I hope this helps!

No @celine , my problem is in mac, MSI is for Windows Right?

Yes, MSI is for Windows (as you mentioned you have reached out to the Microsoft Support team).

If the issue happens in Mac, please reach out directly to the Apple Support team. I confirm there is no issue on our end. Feel free to share any error message you may have received, it would be helpful for their support team to investigate it.

In the meantime, in case it is helpful, here is our official documentation on deploying Figma on MacOS.
