Hi! I would like to blur everything around a shape to mimic a type of cursor magnifier or highlighter. It is essentially like the background blur, but blurring everything that is not inside the shape. Is that an option?

Thanks,
Thomas

Something like this?

Here I used a circle and rectangle and made a boolean subtraction.
To be able to see what’s behind I lowered the opacity of the fill to 1%. It won’t go lower than 1% or it will just disappear completely and the effect with it. It’s also important to lower the opacity of the boolean object fill color, and not the layer opacity.
To blur the background just add a background blur effect.
