Beginner Question About Responsive Design

MichaelHyatt

I’m trying to understand responsive design, and I’m struggling. I want this simple design to fill out the horizontal space on the MacBook Pro 16”. For the life of me, I cant seem to get it to work. Here’s a Loom video demonstrating my problem. Thanks for your help!

You can design responsive. But you can’t preview it in the prototype. You can view it and change the size in the editor only. You can hand it off to developers so they build it and you view it be responsive on the website.

Figma doesn’t support responsive design in prototypes, it’s as simple as that. 🙂 There is no workaround, only to show each breakpoint in a separate prototype.

Hmm. Why are there so many YouTube tutorials on responsive design in Figma? What am I missing?
