Why do so many Figma like tools insist on arrogantly dumping auto-start crap into users' systems? Can't they just provide a simple setting that lets users choose to disable auto-launch?"

I can’t believe this is still happening on such an old thread. What right do you have to force start software? It’s extremely annoying.

Years later, still a constant frustration that Figma adds an unnecessary agent to MacOS start up with no option to disable or remove. This is crazy bad UX.

I’ve created an account on here solely to express my distaste for Figma because of this pretty nasty practice. Can’t believe this has been going for years...

Has this been solved or has anybody found a workaround for Figma adding a login item? I’m getting tired of deleting it every time.

mid-2026, still not fixed, I have to remove Figma from Open at Login everytime it updates, this is annoying. I use Figma occasionally, I do not need it running all of the time. How presumtuous!!

I hate this behavior, just open the FigmaAgent when we open the app, and close it when we close the app. Give the option in settings, simple. I removed the app from my Mac.

This is an example of how a company that lacks real competitors can dictate to their users what they must accept if they want to continue using their product. Too bad that regulators do not deal with such things as macOS startup items, otherwise I’d pay to be in a court where Figma Inc. is getting fined millions for that level of ignorance.

HAhaah I have read almost every comment, its so funny how bad its getting. Definitely deleting Figma and moving all my files to Framer and other tools. Bye bye Figma.
