What I need: Showing the distance between rulers.

How I expected it to work: Select a ruler, hover another and hold option (mac).

Context: In some really nested templates and components its impossible to actually select edges of correct elements for measurements, therefore I would need the option to show the distance between two rulers.

Complexity: Seems to be an easy fix, since the individual coordinates of both rulers even show on the top edge of the ruler section of the UI, you’d just need to add the distance (where exactly I wouldn’t care that much)

Hello @Sebastian_Holzki, Thank you for sharing your detailed thoughts on Measurement.

As you mentioned, the current workaround could involve calculating the distance between two guides, as Figma displays the position of both guides on the axis.
I understand that this method requires manual effort, and your idea would be beneficial for other community members as well.

This would be so useful in my workflow, especially when working with text, because you can’t always rely on the layer edges Figma provides by default, especially if you are working with intricate fonts and are trying to center them properly.
