Ask:

Please consider allowing share links to open in the native desktop app vs. the browser for users who have access to the desktop version.

Problem:

Often Figma links are shared multiple times throughout the day and in each instance of this a new browser window is opened using considerable amounts of CPU memory allocated to the browser window/tab. This is inefficient especially if a designer already has the file open in the desktop app.

@Jose_Colon this is already โ€Œan option in Figma: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039824334-Open-links-in-the-desktop-app

Are you (or your users who are using the app that youโ€™ve shared the files to) not able to get your files deferred to the native app when opening, even with these settings on?
