I am using Figma from almost 2 years. It’s a great tool. Previously I was using Windows 10 yet recently switched to Linux(Ubuntu). Figma doesn’t have any official release for Linux. There are some Unofficial desktop versions but they are “BUGGY”. I request you guys to release an official Figma desktop app for Linux.

@tiaan_va you can try https://github.com/arximus88/figma-linux-next last few updates were focused on local fonts.

So. With Figma Linux Next we don’t need official Support because its just works excellent, but ignore from Figma about this theme is just terrible …. Hate you Figma.

True, terrible and stupid. Since whole app is web based and Windows and Mac apps are not more then electron wrappers, not using their native ui like cocoa and winUI 🤷

Same situation here. I ditched Windows 11 and moved to Fedora 6 months ago and it was a very good decision - I'm still learning Linux but overall I'm happy with the experience - only one problem with Figma - why you stick so hard with Windows - they're a corporation that has never cared about users - their products are as bad as ever and they clearly don't care about users and their experiences. I'm not going back to Windows - but I'm inviting Figma to join the Linux community. If you don't adapt to user needs you will lose the user and their trust.

Its a absolute disrespect to Linux community. A single guy can bring support but figma offical cannot.

We need a better alternative for Linux. Penpot seems a nice choice but their performance is not really great as Figma. and Penpot choose wrong language for Rendering.

Hold on brother, very soon a better alternative will appear because its AI era.

Can you give a clear answer on behalf of your management? All your responses are useless. It seems like your management isn't even aware of this issue. And you're doing a poor job. I canceled my subscription solely because you don't support Linux. And in 2026, that's simply disgraceful for a company of your stature.

Would be nice to have a linux client even if just to be able to have better MCP integration. Now that the nerd devs are in town it would be nice to be a bit more accommodating.
