I am using Figma from almost 2 years. It’s a great tool. Previously I was using Windows 10 yet recently switched to Linux(Ubuntu). Figma doesn’t have any official release for Linux. There are some Unofficial desktop versions but they are “BUGGY”. I request you guys to release an official Figma desktop app for Linux.

The original Figma Linux project made it possible.
Figma Linux Next makes it possible to work with the current version of Figma on Linux.

I only added the improvements and features that I personally use in my daily work.

Just normal daily Linux things.

Is 2026 and creators now DO use Linux to work. I work with design and 3D on Linux 100%. And im missing only the Figma app to my pipeline.

I know from several designer peers they’d consider Linux, if it had native Figma support; running it in the browser is often insufficient. And others switched to alternatives.

I use Linux as my primary workstation, specifically Fedora, and Figma is one of the few major tools still missing an official Linux desktop client.

Please consider releasing an official Linux version, ideally distributed as a Flatpak so it works consistently across Fedora, Ubuntu, Arch, and other distributions.

The web version is useful, but Linux users still need full feature parity with Windows and macOS, especially for local fonts, Dev Mode, MCP integration, and desktop workflows.

An official Linux client would make Figma much easier to adopt for development and design teams that use Linux every day.
