I am using Figma from almost 2 years. It’s a great tool. Previously I was using Windows 10 yet recently switched to Linux(Ubuntu). Figma doesn’t have any official release for Linux. There are some Unofficial desktop versions but they are “BUGGY”. I request you guys to release an official Figma desktop app for Linux.

It is so strange. Outdated Google Fonts and no local font support for Linux.

Is it really a professional tool? I wanted to buy it for me. But the Figma team is not going to do their job properly. They do not listen to the community and their clients.

Agreed. One more upvote for a Linux native app. Very tired of being forced to use Mac and Win OS.

Hi All,

Thank you so much for continuing to share your thoughts with us. We really appreciate how passionate this community is.

We know Linux support has been an ongoing request for quite some time, and we completely understand how important it is to many of you. While it’s something that’s remained on our team’s radar, we unfortunately don’t have a confirmed timeline (or guarantee) to share right now.

Please know that your feedback truly makes a difference. We read every comment and will continue to advocate internally for broader platform support. Thank you again for your patience, understanding, and for being such an engaged part of our community.

Guys, we need tag them in each Linux commentary to get normal answer when. Not " Bla bla bla we don't need you" Like it say this miss > @djv

And ask your friends to help you with your Linux support request. It's a system for professionals, a place where design meets development. There's no support right now…

Yes! It is a great time to start supporting Linux with an official desktop app, especially since Windows 11 is in decline and more and more people are switching to Linux, myself included.

Who thought that the last thing that stop me from switching to Linux would be Figma ? Is it time to switch to an other tool ?

Pleeeease add support for Linux. You do not even have to release a desktop version if you don’t have time for it. Just add a font installer support so we can use local fonts in the browser, I know that will take one dev less than a week to do. So please, for the love of all that is holy, please just make it a bit easier to use your platform on Linux. I can accept working in a browser for now if I can at least make use of local fonts.
