When I want to reset the name of ONE text layer, I can just delete the name and hit enter. This is great. BUT why can’t we do this with multiple layers? We can rename multiple layers by selecting them and hitting ⌘+R, but entering a blank field does not reset the name like it would for a single layer.

Idea: I think it should do that. Just let me delete the name and submit the dialog, to reset the names 😃

Thanks,

By the way you now can’t even do this to a single layer.

Ty Figma for removing crucial function)

Oh my god. You’re right. WHYYYYYYY did they do this??? Now there is literally no way for me to clean up the layer names…

@y_toku Did they do this on purpose??

Hey @Julia57 ,

Thanks for flagging this! I am working closely with Toku.

This seems to be unexpected, our support team is checking into this with our engineers now. We will keep you posted. Thanks for your patience in the meantime!

Please bring this feature back!!!

Seems it came back)

@Celine_Figma , ty!

Hello everyone!

Yes @1taldir3 ! I confirm that if you refresh any open tabs you should find that you can now restore your text names to auto-update as previously.

Thanks everyone for your patience!
