Most of the time when I design websites I use FullHD resolution because most of my clients have FullHD monitors. Would be great I there was a predefined preset for frames for FullHD and also predefined prototype screen for FullHD. What I mean is this: Frames: Prototypes:

Dev view generates a link specifically for dev but I generally reference the design link throughout my workflow (jira, confluence, miro, etc). I would like one link that takes users to the view that’s most appropriate for them. The developers on my team pick up the design link and won’t bother going to dev mode, then they ask me for specs. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ I’d like to train fewer devs on switching to dev view that’s best for them.

When pasting text in FigJam, it happens, that the Font is not the way I want it. I want to be abled to change that 🙂 Best regards,reventwork.com

Hello friends, how are you, I would like to share an idea to make it easier to download files and keep a local backup of them, currently we have to go into each file and download them one by one, it would be very interesting to be able to select this from the Figma home menu and also select everyone at once, whether from your own drafts or from the team you participate in, thank you in advance.

I know many users would like to have comments auto-updated in the native apps (MacOS, Windows 11). This is a VERY important feature for team collaboration. Pls pls add it.

I use connectors fairly extensively in Figma files to show user flows in mockups, but often find they try to connect to anchor points on nested components rather than on top-level frames. I find the connectors’ anchor points unintuitive at the best of times, but as a first step I think it would be great to have connectors snap to top-level frames easily (perhaps while holding a key on the keyboard). connectors

I like the shortcuts to jump to flow in prototype mode / panel using the target icon. Can we have similar for design mode / panel for sections? I now use sections to organize my designs and love it… be great to be able to quickly jump to a section. Thanks!

For 2 years I’ve been working with a team, and we created a bunch of documenting tools, like the sticky notes, some highlights blocks with arrows, etc as a components. And we used them to document the designs (Dev notes, behaviour notes, etc) in regular files. Product managers also tend to draw flow lines to connect mockups so that developers easily understand what’s going on. FigJam is basically making the same, but it’s not that usable in our case, because you need to put a lot of effort to move designs from Figma file to Jam, and it’s a hustle to make changes and mockups sync across. And even then, you need to somehow link back to Figma file so that developers can use inspector. Thus, my suggestion: add FigJam as a layer above regular pages same as commenting. Pros: You can draw notes and changes while on group calls, instead of messing with designs (argghh) You can document designs inside the file without the need to push designs around different files Everything is in one place

Hi there! I wanna share my idea about local variables. I wanna create various and unique color or number variables for every component. For example, I created a button and created fill, border, and text colors. And I have inputs also but I don’t wanna see variables that previously I have created for buttons, that’s why I need to connect button variables to my button component only. And button color variables will not appear for inputs. I think it will be useful to link variables to every unique component.

When creating a component set that is inside of a section, all frames when viewed in Dev mode will have the same name. My suggestion is to show the first property value of each instance to make it easier for developers to navigate. In my case Desktop 1920px, Notebook 1440px, etc.

To have one color that degrade with transparency for various use cases

Hey there! It is so good to have a manifest artifact in its own file to extract project manifest from the code. However, when a new update is there, it requires plugin devs to check the doc and update if needed. It would be way easier to update manifest.json for latest updates, if a JSONSchema existed for it.

I have defined a variable as some type (for example, String variable Fee amount = 25000) , and if I want to switch the type to another (String to a number variable of 25000), I can’t do it currently. I have to delete the first defined variable first and then create another variable with the desired variable type.

Is there currently a way to set a component boolean property = a variable? Having this feature would allow creating a set variable interaction that toggles the boolean variable. Alternatively, add an interaction action that is “Set Property Value”, where you can select a property and select a value from that property to change with the interaction. It would also be useful if using an interaction you could set a variable = value of another variable.

I see where someone requested a prototype for an Android smart watch but the topic was closed. Still only see Apple Watch in prototypes. Would be nice to have some options. Please advise if this is on the roadmap and when, if at all, it will be delivered.

Its good to indicate typo error in comment input box but for solve that, Please enable right click in comment input box so commenter can improve their typo errors.

My company issues virtual credit cards that are either monthly or annual. Your billing process charges a fee annually, as well as every month so I need to charge those to different payment methods, but I can’t see a way to add more than one in my settings. I really don’t want to have to deal with having to remember to come in and change a payment method for the annual fee. Could you please make it possible to use multiple payment methods?

Hello there ! Here what I discovered recently: you have a component Apply an instance swap property on a placeholder in your component. Apply variables on your placeholder. Create an instance of your component. Use the instance swap properties to select the component of your choice. Then variables are not anymore applied on your swap component instance. So I know in some ways it is logical. I applied variables on my placeholder, not on the instance of the component choosed through the instance swap property. And I know how to resolve this problem in another way. But anyway it could be very interesting to be able to pass constraint/variables of my placeholder to all other component’s instances when I use an instance swap property. Cheers, Xavier.

Hey everyone, today I had to use the asset/component explorer a bit more than usually and I got very annoyed about how the folders are structured and displayed within it. Overall I tried to rethink how folders can be implemented more user friendly in the visual flow of the explorer. Currently the user has to navigate a lot when trying to enter different folders. Also the whole explorer looks messy when there are a lot of component and folders mixed. In the top explorer (second image) the folders are also not sorted within the A to Z structure which makes sense cause that would make things even more messy but it’s still not the best approach in my opinion. I know that the examples I provided might be a bit tricky when there are 3 or more nested folders. Here are examples how something like this could look like. Thank you and best, Sascha

After searching for Figma, you can delete/move/copy files. I often use search among numerous design files. However, when you find a file through a folder directory, you can delete/move/copy it, but this function is not available in the search results. This difference in functionality causes numerous inconveniences. Is there anyone who agrees with my opinion? I hope this feature gets improved.

I’m not sure how about you, but I feel that a design tool should let me import an image that is longer than 4096px. What do you think?

The only way a user can organize their pages in a file is by dragging, this is actually quite hard to do when you have lots pages and takes a lot of time.(very slow) If there was a separate page I could open and manage my pages would be amazing. Inspo maybe could come from Bookmarks Manager imbedded in Google Chrome.

Bring the voting feature into Figma. My design team often does dot voting while workshopping designs inside Figma. The vote tool in FigJam is great but I don’t want to have to make the whole team jump over to another file just to vote.

It would be wonderful to be able to add video files. I am holding a critique and screenshots are good but I want my team to be able to watch the recording of the experience for even more insight.

To select a deeply nested element, I don’t want to have to double click a bunch of times, nor do I want to command click and then navigate back up the hierarchy. My solution would be to select the parent frame on first click. Then on second click, select whatever child element my cursor is on. If it’s a component, select the component itself instead of some constituent element of the component.
