I work on our corporate design language system and continuously run in to the issue of designers using the default Figma 10px grid when our system delivers components built on a 4px grid. Junior designers do not pick up on this and it is an issue.

Is it possible to prompt users to setup baseline elements (grid / columns, size) BEFORE they can begin their work? Or is it possible to setup Figma in an Enterprise to have design system foundations set in all figma files for designers?

Note: I don’t see a use case for a 10px grid default; 8px and 4px are the standard for many design systems so why is this default set to 10?

You can change default numbers here

Yes, that is nice for an individual user 🙂 but as an Enterprise organization, is this the place to make the change for the organization as a whole?  The ask is to reset defaults for all users in an organization and to have Figma defaults better reflect the industry.

Is there a better forum to connect with Figma for these types of answers?

Not sure it’s possible. But let's wait for an answer from Figma support. Maybe this option is available somewhere.

Debes crear los parámetros del Grid System dentro del archivo de librería y publicarlo dentro de la organización para que los parámetros sean consumidos desde allí.

Do you have online / written instructions I can send to our UX leadership team for publication?
