Hi everyone! My name is Emily and I am a designer for a marketing and advertising agency. My coworkers and I use Figma on a constant basis for brainstorming, prototype development, etc. and we love it.

As an agency we all use Google Drive to store our files, and have the Google Drive for desktop app installed on our Macs — we call it our “server”. The server is live and shared with everyone at the agency. This is how we share our files with one another. It is a pretty well-oiled machine, except for when it comes to Figma files. There doesn’t seem to be a way that we can save live Figma files onto our server, so we have to workaround it by sharing links with one another through a different project management platform.

We would love a way to solve this to make things more seamless. I was wondering if anyone knows of any third-party plugins that would allow us to embed live Figma files onto our Google Drive server or desktop? Or if you know if this will be a feature Figma will allow in the future?

Thanks so much.

Hi @em-cull, Thanks for sharing your thoughts and the detailed use cases. I understand your situation.

I’ve taken a look around our community but couldn’t find a plugin that perfectly matches your needs. If anyone here knows of a plugin that could help, please feel free to share it with us!

Also, while it might not be exactly what you’re looking for, here’s the guide to see previews of Figma in Google Docs: Figma and Google Docs

You might already be familiar with this, but in Figma the file browser is a great tool for managing your account, organizing your work, and browsing the teams, projects, and files you have access to. Here are related guides if you have time to check it out: Using the file browser
