Toolbar should be able to change its position at the very least. Hotkey users don’t ever need it. Eyes naturally look more to the bottom of the page, and now this useful space is taken by some garbage icons 🙃

The overall redesign is also questionable. I would also support all the complaints about font size, unnecessary gaps between control panels and the edge of a page.

May be it looks more “comfortable” for new users, but keep in mind that you have a lot of professionals who use Figma for a long time already, and they want a reliable tool that doesn’t mutate under their hands so they can keep working fast.

Would love to be able to change the position of the toolbar! My current set up at the office has my MacBook slightly overlapping the bottom of my monitor. It’s never an issue but now it perfectly blocks the Figma toolbar from my sight. My situation is very specific but I think making the toolbar movable (stick to left, right, or top) would solve variations of this problem that others may be having.

@Harrison_Rodriguez I have exactly the same issue.

Same situation when I forget to bring my keyboard to the office 😕 But it’s hopeless, someone’s questionable “vision” and visibility of changes seem to be more important than the needs of real users.

I sometimes wonder whether this is really a problem for a small group of users or whether the vast majority (like me before) simply don't want to complain on the forum and suffer in silence.
