Add Gradients as a variable type

Just saying YES to this! Please do all the things… 

We need the same thing within our design system. We’ve fully embraced variables, but now need to add a further Theme to our variables that has gradient backgrounds on interactive components such as buttons. We can’t use a gradient color style for this as it would misrepresent the component in Dev Mode for certain themes e.g. even if the color style is named the same as the comparable design token, it would be shown as a gradient consisting of two variables equalling the same color value. 

Gradients to Variables please!

We have a very complex tokens system that our consuming teams rely on to switch themes on our components, but gradients not being supported as Variables create a blocker for us to be able to leverage “Modes” for all things.

Please add/fix it! Also the same applies for Shadows.

We need that. And shadows as well.

Agree, this is needed to make color theme support truly robust.

It would be great to have this please. Design tokens/variables are such foundational assets that it really breaks the ability to provide comprehensive parity across design and dev tools. Esp when we’re enabling so much AI capabilities.

Commenting to bump this feature as well. This would help tremendously, please.

Highly needed, instead of a bunch of AI thins that nobody ask for... This is critical to create a full translation of a system into something consistent and easy to use. Amazing we still do not have this.
