Add Gradients as a variable type

Is there any plan to be able to create the gradient itself as a variable? For example, if I wanted some themes to have a solid background variable but others to have a gradient?

    Agree with the above, we need this feature more than the constant release of AI features which would be great if basic features such as a gradient variables were available.

      2026 and this still hasn’t been launched. Gradient and image type variables were promised at the launch of variables 3 years ago.
