Rolling out: Projects become folders 📂 ✨
Let us know what would make Figma better for you.

Hi,I'm working on a Figma Slides project that requires animating text line by line within a single text box, but I've encountered a limitation. Currently, Figma only allows us to animate entire text boxes as single units, regardless of how many lines of text they contain. It would be incredibly useful if we could apply different animations to individual lines of text that are separated by line breaks/returns within the same text box. For example, having line 1 fade in, then line 2 slide in from the right, and line 3 scale up—all within a single text box. This would enable more sophisticated text animations without requiring designers to split text into multiple separate text boxes (which creates maintenance headaches when content changes).Has anyone found a workaround for this? Or could the Figma team consider adding this capability in a future update? Or is it already there and I’ve just missed it?Thanks for your help!
It would be great if Figma allowed users to change their live collaborative cursor into an emoji. When several people are working together without being on a call, this would make it easy to quickly express reactions, like turning your cursor into a 👍 to say “good job” to a product manager or designer. It would add a lightweight, fun, and non-intrusive way to communicate during collaboration.
For years, I’ve been really missing/wanting the ability to create nested folders in figma projects!
Would love if you could add the ability to add a delay on button click to trigger an interaction. Often we’ll have a message or an interaction that doesn’t appear until the completion of some API calls or processing in the background. Being able to add a delay on button click would give me the ability to get the feel for what a possible interaction / feature would actually look like in a prototype or wireframe. Feels like a feature you might want on any interaction…software isn’t always fast 😉
Document organization needs more functionality. I should be able to create sub folders under projects and sub-sub folders, etc as needed. This flat organization doesn’t allow for nuanced file organization that is needed. Please add this functionality ASAP!
Why do variation controls get hidden when I'm in the scale command!!! It's really irritating to have to switch out of it just to change a variation
I think it would be amazing if we could export frames/images right from the Figma mobile app. There could be an export feature similar to desktop version and user could simply choose where they want to save the exported file to.
Quite often, in a complicated flow, it would be useful to get the name of the frame currently displayed in the preview mode.
Right-click as the way to apply a variable (boolean) to the appearance of an element is so difficult to discover I am amazed it’s really organized that way. This offers zero discoverability - there is not even a clue in the tooltip - I had to check for how I’ve made it several weeks ago - I forgot how to get there. Please, why don’t you use the same pattern as for the rest of things (dropdown) or so.
Hi Figma, I really like the Variables panel but why does’nt it support dots in naming variables? For example: basis.text.font-weight.default is much more clear than naming a variable basis-text-font-weight-default. Dots bring in some more possiblilities. I know I can use underscores instead of dots, but underscores look to much like hyphens. Thanks in regard.
As a designer, I incorporate multiple design systems into a single file, and some of these design systems may share the same type styles (e.g., font name, size, etc.). When scrolling, I prefer to keep a sticky header at the top instead of a scrollable one. It’s confusing that I’m on which design system. then i have to scroll to the top to see on what design system I’m in.
Searching for a component takes so long for everything to load, sometimes what i want shows up after i put in the first 4 letters of search but because I’m in the middle of typing it disapears as soon as I type another letter and then it disapears & I have to wait like 4s for everything to load once again. If the dev team could spend time optimising it that would be soooo good! Thanks
It gets very messy having all the web pages placed on a single canvas, especially with so many components, CTAs, and fonts mixed together. Is there a way to separate them—similar to the Design page—so everything can be organized more clearly?
Hi Figma,Would it be possible to get an integration with v0.dev?My ideal workflow would be greatly streamlined if I could connect v0.dev to Figma and take my frontend prototype and import everything directly into Figma. This would save a lot of time for myself and my UIUX Designer that I hand off initial prototypes to.Thanks
Now that the glass effect has been released (which, by the way, is amazing), it's time to remember the 9-slice feature, which still has not been implemented natively. I'm talking about functionality similar to what exists in Unity. In this system, an image is marked with guides — without being sliced into separate parts — so that it can be stretched without distorting the corners. Unity, by the way, allows not only stretching the middle sections but also tiling them. Yes, it's possible to achieve this functionality now using plugins in Figma, but all of them work by slicing the image into parts, which makes updating these images complicated. It's often easier to create a new one than to edit an existing one.Since this functionality is very common in game development and mobile game design, it would be great to have compatibility with Unity for this feature. That way, the same image could be used both in Unity and Figma. This would greatly simplify the pipelines and effectiveness of gam
In presentation mode, it would be extremely useful to click on any image—or even a grouped block of images and text—and have it expand instantly into a larger, interactive view. This allows you to zoom in, highlight specific details, and truly engage with the people on the call, rather than being constrained to static slide layouts. Pitch already does this brilliantly, and it’s surprising that no other presentation tools have adopted such a simple yet powerful interaction. It transforms a passive presentation into an active, collaborative discussion.
When I set paragraph spacing for the block of text, the bullets ignore this spacing, and stay at 0px. This is weird.
One option that could be useful is to allow modifying the decoration of a text that has already been defined as a text style, because that way you do not have to create two or more text styles to simply add the decoration. As with alignment, it could be added below. thanks
Sometimes I am hesitant to use “select matching layers” in fear of affecting more matching layers than I intend to. While the scope control options that another user suggested would be great, a simple feedback message along the lines of “(X) matching layers were selected” would also solve this specific issue most of the time. This would give me a rough idea in most cases whether I’ve selected more than what I want to edit or not, such as layers that are out of frame. Thanks.
Good day,It would be great if:Admins could create a list of departments/squads Admins to select single or multiple departments/squads to get assigned to a User, User can assign single or multiple departments/squads to themselves In the Admin area > peoples section, part of the filter to include the department/squad, which an Admin can filter byAs our team scales it is becoming difficult to keep track of which departments/squads our people are in, and each squads/departments is responsible to contribute to the cost of Figma licensing. By adding this filler it will provide value in quick filtering to work out costs for licensing.
I present to you some simple yet very effective and intuitive improvements to the new paste functionality. Let me know what you think! Community feedback Let’s start with some feedback the community has about the new pasting features. (Note that Ctrl = Cmd on macOS in all the following shortcuts.) On the surface these are perfect additions! But when used in the real work setting, they seem to have some issues. The most problematic thing is probably that “Paste over selection” now has a very awkward key combo: Ctrl+Alt+Shift+V. Four keys! Judging by the amount of feedback on this issue, a lot of people have been using it for their daily workflow. Did you know there was a Ctrl+Alt+Shift+V shortcut in Figma already? It allowed you to stack things vertically, it’s called “Distribute vertical spacing”. Nobody used it, but having two shortcuts doing the same thing is a bad idea. Now the stacking one doesn’t work. Ya’ll probably use Macs so you overlooked this. The majority of Figma use
I am an EDU account user. I used Make AI to design an interface for an educational platform. After less than 2 days and a total of 50 versions, I was alerted with 'You've reached your current limit. Your credits will reset on November 1, 2025.' This consumption of 3,000 credits per month is too fast. Moreover, there is no place in the backend where I can see the current credit usage in real-time, which is very unreasonable. The consumption data is not transparent. Now I have to wait until November 1 to use it again, which seriously affects my ability to work normally.
When Figma Make is processing something complex, it can take a while to complete. During that time, I usually switch to other design files to keep working. But there’s no indication that Make is still running or has finished.I often have to switch back and forth 5–6 times just to check if the process is done, which breaks focus and slows down my workflow. It would be great if there was some small visual feedback showing that Make is still building or has completed, even when I’m on another tab. For example, the Make tab icon could rotate or change state. This would make multitasking in Figma smoother and reduce unnecessary tab switching. Figma make tab icon
In the last days I noticed a change in the feature of zooming with Ctrl+scroll wheel. It used to be much smoother. Now it jumps from 26% to 100% to 381% to 1449% 😐 This is a feature I use all the time to navigate my projects and this change prevents me from having adequate control over the view of my canvas. I need more intermediate steps in zooming, just like before this change.
