Hello Figma Support Team,

 

I am a current university student and recently signed up for Figma with my university email address.
While applying for the Education plan, I encountered a “Verification limit exceeded” error from SheerID.

I would like to kindly ask if you could manually review my student eligibility.
I am happy to provide any required documents such as a student ID or proof of enrollment.

I have submitted proper verification documents to sheerID and am met with the exceeded message. I have contacted sheerID and cc’d Figma support in the emails. I have not received any response from Figma and SheerID permanently closed my case even after I did what was asked. Can someone please assist with this as I need Figma for various classes within my degree program?

I do not have the ability to review education plan requests/information, so getting in contact with our education is the next best step.

I understand that you’ve already reached out, and that you have tickets filed with the education team. I also verified that the priority on your ticket is set to high; they will get back to you as soon as they can.

I'm reaching out for assistance with verifying my student status for Figma's Education plan.

I am currently a Graphic design student in college attempting to verify my student education plan. 

However, I'm encountering an error that's preventing me from completing the verification process.

The issue is when I try to verify, I receive the message: "Verification Limit Exceeded - We're glad you're enthusiastic, but it looks like you've already redeemed or attempted to redeem this offer." What happened is that initially, I received a "we're having troubles, please verify later" error. I waited a few days and tried again, which resulted in the "Verification Limit Exceeded" message. I've attempted multiple times over the past few weeks, but continue to see the same error page.

Could you please help me resolve this issue so I can continue accessing Figma's Education plan?

Hey ​@Isabella Thurston — thanks for flagging this, and sorry you’re running into trouble as well.

Those errors are coming from SheerID, who manage student verification for Figma. Please reach out to them directly using this secure form so they can review and reset your verification attempts: Contact SheerID support team.

If anything is still unclear after connecting with them, you can copy education@figma.com on your reply with SheerID so both teams can take a look together.

I completely understand how frustrating this must be, but our support and Education team is not able to manually review documents or change review status. I noticed that this screenshot is from January 22nd, so your best course of action will be reaching out to SheerID again here: https://support.sheerid.com/en-US/help-center/contact-form
 
To help complete your verification, please be sure any documentation you submit includes:
- Your full name
- Your educational institution’s name
- Current term dates

In many cases, unofficial transcripts work well for students. If you don’t have access to that, any official school-issued document that includes the details above should also work. Please also try looping in the Education team: Education@figma.com for help with verification limits and to help guide the process along the way.
