I had figma free education plan which i applied for now they emailed me to re-verify by september 29 or I'll lose those pro features now I joined figma recently a month back i have re-applied for verification but they say i have exceeded limit for verification or availed this offer. I have no clue how to solve this i have contacted Sheer Id support team too.

Hi team, this issue has been ongoing almost a month. Whether it’s issue on Figma or Sheer ID - I belive that users will need more detailed designated supports. I already have contacted to SheerID - almost passed closing to an week since so. I still haven’t received any response. My app still cries out that my current plan will be expired on 29th of September. I hit the limits of attempts so I can’t even try to re-verify anymore. I provided my driver lisence, medicare id, passport - at this point, I am very uncomfortable to feed more personal identification to third party more than they need.
As I don’t get much support from sheer id side at this moment, is there another way to resolve this? It seems like quite significant population currently have the same issue.
The SheerID partnering thing is an absolute joke. The verification process is buggy as hell, documents keep getting rejected for no reason, and the flow feels completely broken. On top of that, the “verification-limit-exceeded” error has been stuck for weeks with no fix, no updates, no response from SheerID at all. Instead of making things easier, this collab just adds more hoops and more headaches. Figma you can do better then this!!

Even though I uploaded official documents proving that I am an educator, I haven't gotten any results so far. Now it says, "Verification Limit Exceeded." I have only 1 day left for verification. I think there is something wrong with the verification of SheerID as I’ve seen a lot of people suffering from not getting verified. I’m really not sure what else to do—any guidance or help would be greatly appreciated.

Idk i have official mail and commenting from that too but it is denying reverification sheerid is not responding why can't they take documents of the students who are facing such issue and resolve it manually.

Just so you know, there’s currently a grace period in place for verifications, which should give you some extra time while this gets resolved.

I’m reaching out because I encountered the same issue as others regarding the ID verification process. I contacted SheerID and received a response stating that in order to proceed with the verification request, ID verification must be completed within the platform. Therefore, they mentioned that the ID must be verified directly through Figma.
Unfortunately, they also informed me that they are no longer able to assist and have permanently closed the support ticket.
Could you please let me know where or how I can resolve this issue? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have already contacted SheerID Support multiple times, and like others here, I received the same response without any clear solution.
My ticket was permanently closed, and they explained that the government ID verification must be completed successfully within the platform.
Since my ID check could not be processed there, they said they cannot review my ID via email or provide any workaround.
Today is the expiration date of my Education Plan, so this matter is very urgent.
Could you please provide a concrete solution or restore my ability to complete the verification process before my plan expires?

I hope I can also get some help with the same issue as the others in this post regarding ID verification process. I was asked to upload my government ID and I attempted it multiple times but it kept failing to verify my files and status, and now I exceed my verification limit access. I already contacted SheerID but have not got a response from them. As the deadline to verify is coming soon, is there another way I can proof my education status so I won’t loose all of my files? It’s really important to me as all of the files are really important for my classes and co-op. Thank you!

Hi, I have same problem with everyone above and I have contacted SheerID with no response for 5 days. I have got my verification limit exceeded maybe becauase I used a wrong name. How can I get a verification again?
Iʻm a faculty member and have had the same issue for two weeks.
When I contacted SheerID, they said: "We were unable to process your verification request. While we can't offer further details or support for this specific inquiry, please ensure all information submitted is accurate and meets the eligibility criteria for future attempts. Your ticket has now been permanently closed."
When I contacted Figma, they said just to contact SheerID. I donʻt even know what the issue is, and I would have been happy to provide them with any documents they needed. The form didnʻt ask for anything. Iʻve been verified through SheerID before for other platforms and my status hasnʻt changed in 7 years. This has been really frustrating!
I am a student and we have a free student plan from our school. I am trying to verify my student plan but it says that I have exceeded the verification limit or I have already activated it. Although the role on my profile is set to Education > Student but when I join on Edu Teams, it wants me to verify my status and I can’t verify it because it won’t let me. I have already contacted SheerID but they take way too long on responding.

Their process has recently been improved to handle this type of error, and they’re best equipped to review your case and guide you on what to do next.
