Variant switching bug (with variables)

Hi folks,

Early today I’ve finally managed to get variants switching initiated from a child checkbox/switch: How to change parent variant on checkbox/switch?

However I stumbled upon [presumably] a bug in Figma, that prevents it to work properly when using a middleware component.
