Problem moving file amidst the recent Figma update

Hey @Israel_Felix - sorry if I misunderstood, but is the destination project a “view-only” project?

You have to change the sharing settings of the project to “can-edit” otherwise, you can not migrate the file over.

Hi @ksn I changed the project to “can edit” like you suggested and it still has the same result. The file does not appear in the “Draft to move” folder. I can only see it in my ‘Recent’ tab(as you can see in the screenshot). I think the issue is because the ownership of the file was transferred to me by another account. How do I get it to show in the “draft to move” folder, I think that might fix it.

I know this may be a bit repetitive, but changing the “Owner” role on a file in Drafts does not physically move the file to that new owner’s Drafts section, including Drafts to Move. If you check with the original owner, do they have it on their end?

No, i have not been able to sort it out. I have been waiting for the response.

Okay, so where do Figma automatically place the file? I can only see it in my Recents and that’s kind of weird, to be honest.

Sorry for the confusion I’ve caused – this was on me, because I went into this without being 100% certain of the issue.

First, you said file ownership was transferred to you – for the file you now have ownership of:

Is the team you’re trying to move the file into in an org or enterprise plan?

Is the team the file currently lives within in a team that is in an organization or enterprise plan?

The team I’m attempting to move to is an Education plan.

Are you referring to the account that transferred it? I already said I can only find it in my Recent tab and nowhere else(or team) in my account. If you check the screenshot I shared initially, you can see the file titled MIB-mirror.
