Color Picker Tools (Click to sample) is not working New eyedropper tool not working

Issue with Color Picker in Figma

After the recent Figma update, the color picker (eyedropper tool) isn't working. Whether I use the shortcut key “I” or select it manually, the tool doesn't respond.

Has anyone else faced this issue or found a solution?

I just tested the eye dropper tool, and it is working as expected on my end. Are you still having issues?

If so, is this happening in both the browser and the desktop app? Is this happening in all files or just this particular file?

I’m also facing the same issue. Additionally when I export any image in JPG or PNG format, it gives output in complete black format

I just tested the eyedropper tool and export features on my end, and everything seems to be working as expected. 

Let’s try a few steps to help narrow down what might be going wrong for you. Please let me know:

  • Is this happening in both the browser and the desktop app, or just one?

  • Does this happen in all files, or just one specific file?

In the meantime, can you try to force-quit and open Figma in a new browser window (or force-quit the Figma Desktop app and restart it.) Also, please try clearing your cache. Sometimes, clearing your cache helps resolve unexpected behaviour:

If the problem continues, could you share a screen recording showing the issue or send me a  link to file, with support-share@figma.com invited as an editor (this won’t affect your billing). If you'd prefer not to share it publicly, feel free to DM it to me and just drop a quick comment here to let me know

Hi, thank you so much for responding and trying to help me with my issue. I recently found out that the problem was due to my system, and everything was resolved once I updated my system’s drivers.
