Variables REST API is missing the description field

Hi! I understand the Variables REST API is still in beta at the moment, but I was somehow expecting to get the same kind of information as in the Plugin API. I guess those are not developed in parallel?

The field I’m missing from the REST schema is the variable description field (Variable | Plugin API) that we use to pass freetext information.

Is that planned in an upcoming release?

    Thanks for the quick update James!
    Any idea for an ETA? Even a vague one, so I know whether I should investigate a temporary solution or just be patient.

      Following up, the API changes for “description” are out, and the REST API documentation should be updated tomorrow.
