Hey @JAS5 - sorry this has been a pain for you. If you’ve been having issues with performance across all files, it may better for you to have someone on our TQ team look into your account to see if there is something happening on a deeper level.

First, you mentioned you’ve split the file into 6 different files – just to clarify:

Is this only happening on one particular file you’re working on? If so, have you tried duplicating that file and seeing if the performance is still the same?

Also, is this also happening on the web version of Figma as well? If you haven’t yet, can you please try loading your files in the web browser to see if this travels?

Yes, I split the file into six different files as I was rushing to meet a deadline and was desperate. They were mainly text and a few images for a presentation. This often happened with heavy text (no style), especially when I tried to edit words, e.g., my resume. This applies to other work as well. I worked on drafts.

I have tried working on the Figma web version, and it worked. I have also duplicated a version of the file, but I need to observe it further as the issue occurred intermittently.
