I am a student. I create a new FigJam file. But I can’t find any button to create a new page.

I seem to have a user specific edge case where I cannot see the comments on our files, including the ones I add to the file. It may be related to the fact that I use the iPad app sometimes? That’s the only thing that comes to mind. While troubleshooting, we did the following: try hide/unhide comments try to reset user from admin side try to create a new user look for other cases in this forum to no avail

Hi I created a Figma jam board last months and spent many hours on it. I haven’t logged in for a few weeks as been busy. I have logged in yesterday and the file is nowhere to be seen. I tried drafts and deleted files but I can’t find it anywhere. Can anyone help? Thanks

Hello, As a title say - Figma is logging me out without any reason or error showed. I’m using browser(Google Chrome) version. I’ve been struggling with this since the weekend I think. Anyone having same issue?

I’ve discovered that if you create collections and up to 40 modes in a Figma Enterprise account, you can still use these modes in a free account (e.g., an agency account) even if the components were created in the enterprise account. I haven’t upgraded to enterprise yet, but I’ve tested this with the 4 modes available in the Pro tier, and it works. My question is: if I upgrade to enterprise and create more than 4 modes, will I still be able to use all 40 modes in a free account, even if I can’t create them there? Has anyone tried this yet? Edit: You’re copying the component from the enterprise file into the free file.

I’d love to be able to select 5 text fields and update them all to the same thing, without clicking into them individually. This is something that chews up a lot of my time when it comes to product or copy teams sending text updates.

Hi, there is a problem with one of our illustrations. At the moment we added the illustration as a PNG, because with SVG there are some error. I added the image. The line must be dashed. But when we add the SVG image, the line is solid. This is only the case with Figma. Everywhere else the illustration is displayed correctly. Thanks!

I am trying to create interactions for a form. I have created all the possible state variables for the input fields and dropdowns, but I am unable to show the actual data in the form. I can only add the value in the master component. How can I make the form interactive, like in XD, so that I don’t need to copy the main component and create numerous instances? It is making my file bulky

Hi everyone, I followed the exact steps in this Figma tutorial to create a plugin on my own. I made changes to the “code.ts” file, but my plugin didn’t update the effects. The details: I made changes to the “code.ts” file by replacing “Figma.createRectangle()” with “Figma.createEllipse()”. I relaunched the plugin on Figma, but the plugin still created rectangles rather than ellipses. If I made the same change to the “code.js” file, I was able to update the plugin effects. I have tried the following: Restart my desktop, relaunch vs code, relaunch Figma Ensure that I Install everything as required: vs code, node.js, npm, TypeScript, typings, (and verify all installation) Select “Select Command Prompt” under “terminal select default profile” Select “tsc:watch-tsconfig.json.”

I’ve got a layout with a standard file upload area. This file upload is a component with 3 variants - default, a box with a spinner (which is a separate component - a spinner taken from the free animation kit in community), and a final ‘done’ state. Right now, when the user clicks the box, an overlay appears, and a button is chosen. This closes the overlay, changes some variables including one that changes the Upload area to the ‘loading’ spinner variant. My problem is, the spinner animation doesn’t work. If I click the upload area again, to reopen my overlay and I re-click the button, then the animation works. I don’t know if there’s some limitation here in Figma, but maybe someone’s run into this, and has a solution.

I have completed “Beginner 4: Prepare for handoff” but when I tested for “View Mode” the “Inspect” tab is not appearing on the Right Bar. At the moment I am inspecting the application and dose not have a license. Dose that make the difference?

When I duplicate a page, I am often redirected to the beginning of the file instead of being taken to the newly duplicated page. This behavior is inconsistent, as sometimes I am correctly redirected to the duplicated page, but most of the time, I am taken to the file’s start. Previously, when duplicating a page, I was always redirected to the newly created page, which was very convenient. This recent change is affecting my workflow efficiency. Here are the steps to reproduce the issue: Open a file with multiple pages. Duplicate any page. Observe that you are often redirected to the beginning of the file instead of the duplicated page. Is there something i’m missing? When I’m using the color panel from Fill (or stroke) the panel closes after choosing a color. When I’m using the “selection color” panel the panel stays open. In my opinion the behaviour should be the same between to two, and I would prefer the panel to stay open. Here is a video that shows ‘the problem’ -update- It looks like the behaviour is even more wierd than I thought. When choosing color variables the panel stays open. But when I choose a style the panel also instantly closes… Leaning more towards a bug now than a suggestion for improvement.

This is a small nitpick, but if I close the Variables window and reopen it, every variable I’ve created is expanded (shows every sub-folder). There is no way to auto-collapse all of the folders. When building a large library of variables this is extremely annoying, as I have to close every folder manually. Wondering if there is a fix or at least eventually an option to “collapse all” coming for this?

A person with owner permission on a Figma file left the company and I, as an administrator, cannot delete that person’s account. How can I delete this person’s Figma account?

I have an accordion menu in the footer of my mobile design. Right now when you use the accordion it expands below what is scrollable. I either do this or I add a bunch of empty space at the bottom of the page for the accordion to expand into. When using the prototype, I want the frame to expand when the accordion expands.

Mi pregunta es siempre, que le de permiso de edición a otra persona, es un pago adicional de asiento de diseño? porque en realidad solo necesito que pueda editar uno de los tableros.

A colleague of mine seems to have posted a lot of code into FigJam by copying from a Figma file (copy as code) and the file crashed. When trying to enter recovery mode it just tries to load but them gets stuck on loop and never fully loads so I can’t view version history. Anyone had this problem?

When clicking “share” the modal is not fully loading…both from within a file and from the files overview page. Side note - the reason i am doing this at all, is because all these files are in a “read only publicly visible Figma project” with hundreds of viewers. I want to grant permission to a team member to edit files in this project but it seems (when searching here on the forum) that if a project is set to “read only” setting edit access on that level to an individual won’t work … seems illogical to me.

I export pdfs and bring them into indesign for routing… one page is fine, other looks ok but when imported it is blank every time.

Guys I cannot go back to UI2 from UI3 on my new Figma account. I am missing “go back to previous UI” option on my help menu. I heard that lately created accounts(after 2024 June maybe) are automatically installed as UI3 version, and I guess this is the reason… Seriously, is there NO way at all to get back to UI2 for new account users? (+Unfortunately the redesigned UI is quite uncomfortable to use, it severely hinders my productivity.)

Greetings from a newbie! I cannot get a call to Figma.getNodeByIdAsync() to work. Could anyone please tell me what I am doing wrong? I have searched this forum and referred to a sample plugin go-to that uses this function, but I am still stuck. Below is my simplified code just for checking this functionality. When I run it as part of the plugin, console logs #1 and #2 are generated but not #3, and the console returns to the ‘>’ prompt. Thank you!
