Hey @Machiel1 - sorry this is causing such a disruption. Can you clarify a couple of things for me?
You mentioned that you split off some sections from a large file you have over to another one. I’m assuming this was done in order to preemptively avoid any memory issues (which is a great practice in general).
When you say that you were able to get an old version, do you mean you were able to restore an older version of the original file? If that’s correct, restoring an older version via the web browser, seems to have invalidated the link you had originally shared with everyone before this, correct?
If that’s the case, that sounds odd – when you restore a previous version of a file, any previously generated links should still work. I made sure to test this myself just in case this may have suddenly gotten buggy, and it worked as expected.
I think there’s a deeper issue that I’m not able to figure out on my end – what I’d recommend is getting in touch with our support team for further help. They have access to more insights than I do, and can look into this further.
Can you fill out this form, and let me know when you’ve done so? https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360001744374
Hi @ksn, thanks for your reply!
Yes, I’ve split off some of the sections to another file. Because I got the notification about memory issues.
Sorry, when I said that I was able to get an old version. I meant that I could open the original file in my browser and duplicated an older version. So we are working in another file now (the copy). Which means all the old links don’t work anymore because they link to the original file.
Maybe worth saying. I’m the only one that keeps getting loading bar when I want to open the file in the app.
I did send out the form to support aswel, thanks!
No problem! I was able to locate your ticket, and I had it escalated on the support end.
Someone on our technical quality team will be reaching out to you soon to figure out what’s going on with the file. Lmk if you have any other questions in the meantime 😀
