Recently the owner of our Figma account left the company, how we can remove him from the member list and assign the owner role to another account?

Here are a couple simple options to take over ownership of your team's resources if the original owner has left.
(Please note, as part of our security policy we are not able to make administrative changes like this in your behalf, but we suggest considering the options below and trying the one that works best for you).

Option 1Â - Recover the account using the original owner's email address

Your IT team may be able to forward emails over from the original owner's address to yours. You can then reset their password, log in, transfer ownership to your own account, and leave the team.

Option 2 - We can also take you through our "Identity Verification" process with the goal being to change the account email address from their email to an email you have access to. In this case, we would ask you several specific questions about the Figma account associated with your team, such as number of files, account creation date, file names, etc. If you are able to provide accurate answers to these questions, we could then make the account change.
