How do we scale images without maintaining proportions / aspect ratio?

Is it possible to stretch images or scale them without maintaining their original proportions or aspect ratio on Figma?

I’m trying to resize some images originally in 1x1 to 9x16 & 16x9, but instead of having them cropped at 9x16 & 9x16, I’d need them to stretch or distort accordingly. I’ve tried all the constraint options — scale, left & right + top & bottom, etc. but all of them seem to crop these images when I resize them, which is not what I’m looking for.

I know it’s possible on Photoshop, but I’m wondering if there’s a workaround for it on Figma or if there are any plugins that would be able to achieve this?

Any help is appreciated! 🙏🏽

Open image fill settings (click on the picture in the right panel) and select Crop type fill instead of Fit or Fill.
