How do I replace images in bulk while retaining the Fit property?

Hello Figma Community,

I’ve created a 5x9 grid of a component instance which contains an image, which is very importantly set to Fit.

Now, I want to replace all of these images in my 5x9 grid using the content of a folder on my computer, so that the content of that grid looks more realistic.

As far as I am aware, the only way to do this currently, is to use Place Image… select a bunch of images in my local folder, and then click aaall of the 45 instances to replace each image.

That is a little time consuming, and it lacks the randomness that you can achieve which say, the Content Reel pugin, but ok.

However, and that is my real big issue here, this does reset the Fit of every image to a Fill (and the Content Reel plugin also does this)

Lastly, there doesn’t seem to be a way to select multiple image fills to set them all to Fit again.

Any help please?

As usual, saved by a (criminally underrated) Plugin which does offer some solace:
