Same problem. The issue become serious after my prototype have 14 screens.

Same here. So annoying!

I was facing a similar issue and I contacted figma support regarding this, they said it was because I was using iOS 16 which has some issue with the web view and they have asked apple to fix this issue.

Are you guys also on iOS 16? Or is this issue there in iOS 15 as well?

iOS 15.5 here. Same Problem. Figma Prototyping is a joke.

Hey All, Apple released iOS 16 developer beta 4 on July 27th, which included the fix for the Figma app. Be sure to update to latest version!

Hi, I still have this issue. My Figma version is 22.7.1 and I use iOS 16.2.

I have this issue also—using iOS 16.3.1

аналогичная проблема и на (iOS 16.4 (20E5212f)) iPhone 13

@dvaliao Still nothing? Any updates? I’m working on iOS 17.3, and every one of my prototypes explodes on the Figma app. It’s impossible to test with users, and even using the phone as a real-time preview is unfeasible. When will you fix it?

@dvaliao i got still same issue on my device iphone 14 pro max ios 17.3.1. Can you please fix?

Hey @vijay_sharma ,

I am working with Denise closely, happy to help!

Our logging is showing that you’ve recently encountered a message stating that the frame you are attempting to open is too large or that your prototype can’t be opened on mobile. This typically occurs when the screen you are trying to load, along with its connections, interactive components and related variant sets, requires more available memory than what is currently available on your phone.

We’ve heard from other users that these crashes happen more frequently on out of date OS versions and where possible, suggest that you update your OS to check if it helps.

If not, we recommend taking a look at our guide on how to Reduce memory usage in files. Most of the suggestions provided in the guide can also be applied to improving prototype loading on mobile.

Figma is a browser-based app, which means it’s subjected to a 2GB available memory limit that applies to each browser tab, including those in our mobile app, or mobile browser. When loading or editing Figma files nears or exceeds this memory limit, it can cause performance issues like long load times or crashes, especially in a mobile browser which generally has an even smaller available memory (the specifics depend on the phone model and OS version).

If these workarounds still don’t help, feel free to reach out directly to the support team with a copy of your file: here

Our support and engineering team can have a deeper look at it to check what’s causing this in your file.

Be sure to use your Figma account email, include a link to the file (to that frame you are having issue), and share it with support-share@figma.com as an Editor to this file (this won’t affect your billing at all) so they can take a closer look. Thank you!
