I recently faced this problem which doesn’t let me work on the Figma desktop app. it won’t sync with my account on Figma web. I agreed to all the privacy and reinstall the app several times but it didn’t work. I would highly appreciate it if you can help me 🙂

Hey there, sorry to hear you’re having trouble!

This can happen when you have a pop-up blocker on your browser that is preventing the correct window from opening. Could you try disabling any extensions you have installed and try again?

If this still doesn’t help, could you please try the following?

  1. Sign out of the account on the desktop app and web browser
  2. Clear cache in both the app and in the web browser (instructions below)
  3. Try to open the app again

Here’s how to clear the desktop app cache on a Mac:

  1. Quit the Figma desktop app
  2. Open Terminal.app and enter the following command: rm -rf "$HOME/Library/Application Support/Figma"
  3. Try opening the desktop app again

Here’s how to clear the desktop app cache on Windows:

  1. Close the Figma desktop app
  2. Open the Start menu, and paste in this, followed by enter: %APPDATA%\Figma
  3. In the window that opens, delete the Desktop and DesktopProfile folders if they exist
  4. Launch the desktop app again
