Default to hover and a contextual floating menu

Christian

I have found that more than 90% of my interactive components are set to hover.
I was wondering three things:

  1. Is hover the most common interactive component interaction with Figma users?
  2. If it is the most common, would Figma consider making the default interaction hover rather than click.
  3. Assuming I am not alone in this, would others want hover to be the default for interactive components?

Next suggestion.
I was thinking it might be nice to have a floating menu for the prototype settings. I find myself dragging a spaghetti connector on the left side of the screen then having to move to the upper right to make adjustments in the panel. IMO this feels extremely inefficient when you have to repeat this step on multiples of variants. Thoughts?
