Hello, when i copy and paste a frame and edit one of the components, both components from the copied and pasted versions of the frame get edited. Basically they both stay linked and i cannot figure out how to fix this. The only way i could get rid of the “connection” was by deleting the components and remaking them one by one which deletes the whole purpose of copy and pasting in the first place. Anyone got a clue why this happens, or if it is implemented on purpose and how to fix it.

Copy/pasting components creates an instance of that component. I’m no Figma employee but I’m pretty sure that’s the intended behavior.
If you want to create a new component based off of another then you can create an instance and detach it and then create a new component with it.
