Dump data account

Hello everyone,

I created a project on Figma about two years ago, but I can’t find it anymore. I’m wondering if there’s a way to recover deleted files, even beyond the 30-day trash period.

Is there an option to export a full dump of my account, including deleted files?
Or does Figma permanently delete them with no way to recover them?

I have already checked:
✅ The trash bin
✅ My file history
✅ Old links and emails
✅ Other possible accounts I might have used

If anyone has faced this issue before or knows a solution, I’d really appreciate your help! Thanks in advance. 🙏

Hi @Yvann, Thank you for reaching out about this.

I understand you are unable to locate your deleted file within the trash or the other locations you have specified.

We also suggest checking the “Drafts to move” > “Deleted drafts” tab. If the file is located there, you should be able to move it out of ‘Drafts to move’.

Sadly, we don't have a way to export everything at once like you're hoping. You can only save local copies of individual files, not whole projects or teams.

Just so you know, the editor of a file can initially delete it, and it's still restorable. They then have the option to permanently delete it, which can't be undone. We retain deleted files indefinitely until you or another collaborator initiates the “Permanently delete” action.

If you're sure those files aren't permanently gone, double-check the Trash in all teams across all your accounts.

Also, just a heads-up, you might be thinking of version history, which is only 30 days for Starter teams.

Hope that clears things up! Thanks again for reaching out!
