Can I join education plan without school email address?

Using a school email address is preferred for ease of verification, but yes - you can use any email address already associated with a Figma account to apply for an EDU plan.

Be sure you’re logged in using the email you want to verify for EDU then apply here: https://www.figma.com/education/apply

Hey, I have the same problem actually…

I can’t renew my education plan because my account is on my personal mail (Gmail) and the page asks me to verify my status with a university address and I can’t change the account email.

As mentioned above, a university email address is preferred but not necessary for an EDU plan. You can still continue without using a university email using the same link: https://www.figma.com/education/apply
