Hi there,

Does anyone know why the variables I’ve added to my prototype don’t work on my app in prototype mode on my iPhone but on the desktop app they work just fine? I have all the latest updates.

Appreciate your time! 🙂

Hi @Lance_Le_Goff, Thanks for reaching out and bringing this to our attention.

Just to confirm, have you tried opening the same prototype in Chrome or Safari on your mobile device? Do you still see the same issue?
Here are some instructions on how to view prototypes on a mobile device: View prototypes on a mobile device

If the issue persists, it seems you might have run into a known bug that our engineering team is currently looking into. This issue is causing some variables to reset when using the Figma mobile app.

We appreciate your understanding and patience on this matter. Please know our engineering team is fully aware and dedicated to finding a solution.

While we can’t promise an immediate fix, we can certainly add your post to our internal report.
To do this, it would be incredibly helpful if you could share a recording of the issue and, if possible, a link to the file(add support-share@figma.com as an editor - it won’t affect your billing).

We look forward to hearing from you soon! If there’s anything I’ve missed, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

Also, if anyone from our community has insights or suggestions, we’d love for you to jump in and share!

Thanks,

Hi there, thanks for reaching out.

It seems this issue is still being looked into. Because it’s a complex issue and there are other things that need to be done first, it could take some time before we can fix it.
We can’t promise a quick fix, but our engineering team knows about the issue and will work on finding a solution in the future.

We appreciate your understanding and patience!
