Fontproblem in preview mode but displays fine in prototype view

I’ve been getting the exact same issue for weeks, and it’s really annoying. It doesn’t happen consistently though, which is strange. For example I could have two cases of a bold version of the same font type (proxima nova in my case), and while one of them renders perfectly in the preview mode, the other doesn’t and renders as a regular weight.

This sounds like a bug that we’re currently investigating. We’ll pass this along to our team to reference as they work on the fix.

Still having this issue, the workaround I’ve found for now is to duplicate the frame that the issue is happening in and preview the new one… Seems to work fine then. Until it breaks again 🤪. I’ve also had a couple of other issues that I had to solve by doing the same thing - couldn’t remember what though.

Are there any other specific details that are slightly different?

This may sound weird, but if you duplicate the file and try to run the preview, does the font still not load properly?

This is an issue because when previewing a frame, all text seems to display using Inter (I assume) as a font, instead of the one that’s been set; this forces me to use presentation view where it seems to work no problem. (I remember it bugging out in presentation view as well, but that seems to have been fixed)

Honestly the bug isn’t consistently reproducible, so I can’t help you with the last inquiry yet, but maybe somebody else in this thread has tried that already.
Either way, that would be a workaround and not a fix, though I’m sure you know that 🙂.

This isn’t a huge issue, just a minor annoyance that appears from time to time, but it would be nice to have it fixed~

Our team tested Andreas’s original file, and things are still working as expected on our end with that file. Are you able to share a link to your file with us, so we can see what’s happening?

Issue still exists.

Fonts display correctly in design file and present mode but incorrectly in preview mode. Tested in both Figma Mac OS X and in browser.

I am also encountering this issue. In design mode bold and italic text is displayed correctly, but in the preview of the prototype some (not all) bold or italic text is displayed as regular text. Reformatting the text from bold to regular to bold seems to fix the issue, at least temporarily.
