Shape vs "Shape" & Layer Icons

Jono_Young

I have two shapes. One has a layer icon that matches the shape of the drawn shape, the other layer icon looks like a ā€œNā€

What do these two layer icons mean?

If the shape is complex, then on the layers panel there will be a vector path icon that looks like ā€œNā€ (because in the miniature it is hardly possible to recognize what is shown there). And if the shape is simple (which will be perfectly reflected in the miniature), then Figma will draw it as a layer icon.

Thank you. Wanted to make sure that my SVG shapes were fully closed before going to code.
