Hello, This is probably just a small problem and i can easily live with it but im starting to teach the new intern how to use Figma but ive noticed they have UI3 enable for some reason and i dont think i can have access to it just yet.
I would prefer to teach using UI 3 since its gonna be default soon enough but right now the fact that there is a difference between our version is causing a bit of confusion when i try to show them where things are supposed to be.
is there a way we can all use the same version or is it not up to us?
Hi @Gabriel_Marcoux, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I understand that the differences in the UI can be confusing, especially during teaching. We appreciate you sharing your experience.
Currently, we are gradually rolling out the new design to individual users, and regrettably, there isn’t an option to activate UI3 for entire teams at once.
We understand your preference for using UI3 for training, but if your intern meets the following criteria, they can consider switching back to the previous UI to align with yours:
Users on paid plans
Users who created their account before June 2024
Here’s how to revert to the previous UI: Open a file > Clicking the “?” > “Go back to previous UI.”
Please rest assured that all functionalities of Figma’s design remain consistent across both the old and new versions, even if some members are using different versions.
UI3 will gradually roll out to every users over the next few months. We appreciate your patience.
Meanwhile, please feel free to refer to the Navigating UI3: Figma’s new UI for details on the changes and tool locations.
thank you, i’ll try my best teaching with their UI in mind . it’ll be far easier for them to start learning from UI3 right now then relarn it later
