Scroll on prototypes

Hello, is there any way to smooth the scroll steps in prototype view?

Most of the times is not a real issue, but when presenting a fashion website that you try to make a design as delicate and carefully crafted as possible, those harsh steps really kill the mood and the client gets a feeling way below what to expect once the project hit production.

It is too much to ask the client to “imagine” that design but with the expected fluidity. What they see is a harsh stepper scroll.

My workaround for this is to “drag” the layout when presenting live, but they will not do that by their own. Their instinct is to simply scroll.

Thanks in advance

Hey @Jairo,

Sorry to hear you’re having issues with scrolling in prototype view!

Some users, especially those with older GPUs, may see prototype scroll lag if the prototype has:

  • Multiple shadows or blurs layered on a frame
  • Multiple layered gradients
  • Large images
  • Very complex smart animate transitions

If you still run into issues without using those, please reach out to the support team directly via this form for help: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
