Nested components are not resizing when the tokens change.
When they are not nested, it works well.
Do you know how I can fix that?
Thank you!
Is there any way to fix this?
Thank you so much
Hey @Andreia_Tenreiro1, thanks for reaching out and sorry for the delayed reply!
It’s hard to be sure because we can’t fully see how you’ve set up your variables, but in order for your nested component to resize, your number variables would need to be bound directly onto width property of the layer you want to have a variable size for the width to change upon switching modes. The width values are not automatically assigned just by assigning the string “Size” variable onto a compatible property on the component layers.
Other helpful tips:
- Learn where to apply different variable types on a design here: Apply variables to designs
- Take a look at our playground file for variables here for more examples of how to apply different variable types on switch modes
Thank you @dvaliao
we are using tokens, and not variables.
We are using tokens for height size. we want the height to change.
Hey @Andreia_Tenreiro1, thanks for clarifying and apologies for the oversight!
