So If text overflows from one, it can show up in another textbox. This would be useful for two-column/grid composition and responsive layouts.
Exactly, similar to the feature available in Adobe Indesign.
Yes please.
Especially useful for print design work.
I tried this but didn’t work for me: https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/1020700094489447475/Text-to-Columns
If you try it and it works, let me know how you did it
This would be extremely useful! The only aspect of InDesign I miss.
This would be so useful! Also, and also word hyphenation is missing. With these features figma would the most powerful design tool for every kind of purpose.
How many votes do we need to make this a thing?
Figma is honestly an embarrassing design program…
Yes please! just like Indesign, Making E-books or magazines using Figma would be so much fun! we need this feature?I really hope they make it a reality
Let’s push for this or if anyone knows any good plugins that’d be great
this feature would get me to pivot from .indd. Please & thanks
HOW COME this feature is not here yet.
People mentioning this is more of a print design thing. It’s also somewhat similar to how CSS columns work. Very much a user interface design thing as well. Whether its a means to thread text through frames or a frame setting to have text responsively flow through columns in that frame, would love to see some kind of feature for threaded/flowing text.
+1 on this!
Anyone who knows of a good plugin for this? I see people mentioning InDesign, but I see it being a problem all the time working with websites for browser a well…
I use Figma to make many digital pdf, this feature would be much helpful to make continuos text boxes and autolayouts.
Dear Figma. It is 2023 already. Please catch up on this feature, and we might not need any other design tool anymore.
Totally need, and not just with text, also in componets that look a like
Please make this a reality
1 more vote incoming !!
This would be very useful! Please make overflowing-text boxes happen:)
