Currently, after pasting an image to a named rectangle, it is automatically renamed to “image”.
This is no helpful to me. It keeps me rename the layer every time I place an image to a rectangle (or other shape) layer.

This is indeed a bug that’s already on our team’s radar to fix.
The primary hold up is that this bug was created due to a fix we implemented for another bug that caused layer names to not update when adding videos/images in bulk over one another.
The team is carefully evaluating the nuance to ensure that we don’t push a fix that in turn, continues to create new bugs for different groups of users.
